Dr. Kuzmic and Dr. Stoner
A farewell to Patients and Parents

Robert Stoner, DDS, MS

“It is with both sadness and joy that I write this letter. As many of you know this is the oldest orthodontic practice in Indiana. It was started by my father in 1947. I have been working in this practice since 1976 as a dental student doing lab work and have been a full-time orthodontist here since 1983. It is very important to me that the quality of work supersedes any business concerns. So, it has been a six-year endeavor to find someone to take over this practice as I retire.

My concerns have been answered as I have found the perfect person to continue my father’s practice. Dr. Kyle Kuzmic graduated #1 in his class from Indiana University School of Dentistry. He completed his 3-year orthodontic training at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas.

As many of you know, I have been teaching the Tweed Continuing Education Course in Orthodontics in Tucson, Arizona every year since 1993. We see the residents from almost all of the orthodontic programs in the USA and also orthodontists from over 130 countries. I can say without hesitation that the orthodontic residency Dr. Kuzmic trained at is, in my estimation, the top program in the country.

Thank you all for the 46 years of a satisfying and rewarding career.”

A statement to future Patients and Parents

Dr. Kyle Kuzmic, DDS, MS

“I could not be more blessed and honored that Dr. Stoner has entrusted me to carry on this historic practice. For almost 40 years, Dr. Stoner has been treating patients as the individuals that they are, and has placed treatment outcomes above all else. While certain things will change and modernize around the office, this standard will not. What I love the most about orthodontics is it not only gives me the opportunity to create beautiful smiles and functional bites, but also allows time for me to get to know you and your family, and for you to know mine. I cannot wait to meet you!”
